The first blog
Posted by Lori on 11/16/2006 Hello Anyone and Everyone, Welcome to our website blog. Who'd have thought a computer no-nothing like me could actually do this! It's going to be fun! Well, we have had quite a few months here in Idaho. August was a highlight performing at the Timpanogos Storytelling Festival in UT, then when we returned home, we kicked into high gear to help get our own festival ready, The Snake River Storytelling Festival. Under Teresa Clark's leadership, we brought in Michael Parent and Wendy Gourley as our guest tellers, and they were awesome. Michael came all the way from Maine, and Wendy hopped up from Utah. It was one of the busiest, most hectic times, but the payoff was well worth it. We made new storytelling friends and learned so much. That was in October. Now, in November, Omar is swamped with rehearsals for A Christmas Carol, which he is directing at the college, and also playing Scrooge in. Our two youngest kids, Brigham and Isabel, are in the show, so that keeps the entire family busy. They are having the time of their lives. I have this last week of teaching Storytelling, Creative Drama, and Puppetry (how I roped myself into that one is beyond me) at the Elementary school, then the commitment is done. I've enjoyed it, but am ready for things to slow down just a bit. We are looking forward to the holidays, and are filled with gratitude for all the many friends we've made this last year.
